About Us

From the Community, For the Community.

The Carrollton Wrestling Scholarship Fund was founded by Bryan and Kathy Shaw — lifelong members of the Carrollton community whose lives were shaped by this program and the people behind it. What began as a personal desire to give back has grown into a lasting commitment: to ensure that the coaches who gave their time, the families who filled the bleachers, and the communities who showed up year after year are never forgotten — and that the student-athletes who follow in their footsteps have every opportunity to succeed.

We exist because wrestling gave us something worth preserving. And because the next generation of Carrollton wrestlers deserves the same foundation we were given.

Our Misson

The Carrollton Wrestling Scholarship Fund preserves the legacy of those who built this program and invests in those who will carry it forward — providing scholarships to deserving student-athletes who reflect the values of dedication, toughness, and community that have always defined Carrollton wrestling.

The People Behind the Purpose

Our Trustee Members

Our trustees are coaches, former wrestlers, and community members who know firsthand what this program means and what it takes to keep it alive for the next generation.
