He said being part of the Carrollton Wrestling family helped him grow into the person he is today.

He also expressed deep appreciation for the support he received throughout the years from coaches, teammates, supporters in the stands, and his parents. Aiden said wrestling taught him many lessons about life, including how to handle adversity, continue striving forward, and push past limits to earn success.

Aiden also made special mention of his Pap, Larry Shaw, who was one of the early wrestlers under Rusty Bright's teams in the 1960s. Larry helped Aiden during his youth wrestling years and taught him about the grind, the ups and downs, and the lessons that come with the sport.

Aiden was a three-time youth OAC state qualifier in Ohio at heavyweight. He was also a member of the back-to-back EBC junior high championship teams. During his high school career at Carrollton, he participated in football, wrestling, and baseball before focusing on football and wrestling.
