Bryan Shaw Family Foundation Announces Carrollton Wrestling Scholarships

The Bryan Shaw Family Foundation is proud to continue its support of Carrollton student-athletes through scholarships honoring the people and families who helped build the tradition of Carrollton Wrestling.

The official named scholarships are:
• The Coach "Skip" Laughlin Scholarship
• The Tom & Bonnie Shaw Family Scholarship
• The Coach Ken Pasiuk & Family Scholarship
• The James Rusty Bright Scholarship

This scholarship effort recognizes the values long associated with Carrollton Wrestling: discipline, accountability, work ethic, toughness, humility, family, and service to others. The program is focused on supporting Carrollton wrestlers as they move into college, athletics, trade school, military service, career training, and the next chapter of life.

Recipient Highlights
Aidan Shaw, son of Ryan and Jamie Shaw, received the James Rusty Bright Scholarship. Aidan was a three-time youth OAC state qualifier at heavyweight, a member of back-to-back EBC junior high championship teams, and part of Carrollton's three-time EBC championship wrestling teams in 2022, 2023, and 2024. He was also part of a team that placed fourth at the Ohio State Duals. Aidan now attends Baldwin Wallace University, where he plays football on the offensive line and is pursuing a double major in Criminal Justice and Psychology.

He was a four-time sectional champion, two-time district champion, two-time team captain, two-time Top Gun Tournament champion, Reno Worlds 18U champion, and All-American. Josh finished with 179 career wins, ranking third in program history.

Aidan Pasiuk, son of Ken and Chris Pasiuk, is a three-time state placer and 2017 state champion, becoming the first state champion in Carrollton High School wrestling history. He earned First Team All-Conference honors three times and was named Northeastern Buckeye Conference Wrestler of the Year twice.
